The Golden Knights Chess Academy is set to host the 2nd International FIDE Rated Tournament, promising intense competition and exhilarating experience for all players. This year, the tournament is proudly sponsored by MGD1!
Tournament Details
The tournament will kick off on April 26th, 2025, at the Nadar Mahajan Sangam S. Vellaichamy Nadar College, Nagamalai, Madurai. Players will battle over the board in a 9 round Swiss-tournament over 5 days. The time control for all the games will be 90 minutes for the whole game, with a 30 second increment from move 1.
Registration and Deadlines
The interested players must register for the tournament before the deadline on April 22nd at 6 PM IST. The organisers have extended the early bird offer till April 5th. The entry fees until this period will be INR 2250. Post that, the entry fees will be raised to INR 2500.
Exciting Cash Prizes and Trophies
The total prize fund for the tournament is INR 5,00,001. There are 75 cash prizes and 115 trophies for participants across various categories, with the winner taking home Rs 50,001 and the Champion’s Trophy!
