The team will be captained by Grandmaster, FIDE Senior Trainer and Dronacharya awardee RB Ramesh. World no. 2 GM Hikaru Nakamura is our icon player for the season!

MGD1 was the chess consultant for team UpGrad Mumba Masters for the inaugural season of the Global Chess League. The team clinched the second place after a hard fought final match against the eventual winners, Triveni Continental Kings.
